How to make a perfect Omelette

Omelets is one of my favourite breakfast foods. But how do they turn out so perfectly? I've tried many different methods and recipes, but none of them seem to work! I have some tips and tricks to help you make delicious, fluffy omelets every single morning.

We should first know that eggs are very temperamental ingredients when making omelets. The eggs must be fresh from an organic source and kept at room temperature until they are ready to be cooked. You must keep them cool enough to allow the whites to form properly and the yolks to become too runny if they're not kept at the right temperature. This causes your omelets to look oddly colored. If you want to make omelets right away, it's best not to use eggs that are too cold.

Another tip is to separate your egg before adding it into the pan. You don't want the white to get mixed with the yolk, as this could cause the egg to curdle.

You might burn the bottom of the egg if you place the egg directly on the stovetop. This could ruin the texture of your omelet. Instead, heat the egg in a microwave for 10 seconds and then place it in a pan. The microwave heat cooks the eggs just right without overcooking them.

Let's now talk about mixing eggs. Mixing eggs together is important. You need to beat them well. You need to turn the bowl of the mixer upside down. Next, shake the bowl vigorously. The egg will be thoroughly mixed in the bowl as the air is whipped.

Now comes the fun part - pouring the milk into the mixture. The first step is to pour half of the milk in the beaten eggs. Next, fold the eggs into the remaining milk. You don't need to worry if streaks remain. They will disappear once you flip your omelet.

After you have folded your eggs, heat up the oil on medium heat. Wait for it to get hot. Once the oil starts getting hot, add 1/4 cup of butter to the pan and swirl it around to coat the entire surface of the pan. Now carefully crack open the lid of the pan and sprinkle salt into the pan. A pinch of salt will prevent your omelet from sticking in the pan.

Once the omelet has formed, cover the pan again and wait for the top side to set completely. Flip the omelet over using a spatula or flip the pan upside down. Cook the second side for a minute or so. Take out the omelet and place it in a bowl.

This recipe is best when used with whole milk. But, you can use skimmed milk as well.
